Geelong Rostrum are a dedicated group assisting their members in public speaking, online communication and presentation skills, meeting procedure and confidence building. Our activities are aimed at developing individual members towards their goals.
We meet
1st & 3rd Mondays from 7-8:30pm at the South Barwon Community Centre and
2nd & 4th Mondays on zoom from 7 – 8pm
You will find an interesting and varied speaking program giving a combination of learning and having fun. Contact our membership officer and come along for a free preview meeting. You can join in if you wish or just come for a visit. You might find yourself in the middle of a role play, a debate, speeches, work presentations or presentation rehearsals for study projects. Let us know what you want to work on and we will add you into the program.

Club 14 was inaugurated in 1953. Our club is Australian Rostrum club number 52.
Rostrum Voice of Youth
Our club volunteers at Rostrum Voice of Youth each year to give secondary school children the opportunity to speak in public and learn from their peers.

I recently experienced first-hand the benefits of Rostrum in a job application. I was interviewed by AI which asked me to ‘Speak continuously for 2 minutes about something I could talk about all day’. The twist was if I stopped for more than 2 seconds the interview ended. As this is a skill we practice at Rostrum I knew I had it covered. I set a timer and started. Easily made 2 minutes and passed the interview. Thanks Rostrum! Luke
