TAKE UP THE CHALLENGE ….

BE INVOLVED IN ROSTRUM VOICE OF YOUTH.
To enter the Rostrum Voice of Youth, choose a speech topic from the list of topics and select the heat in your closest centre.

Students must be entered by their school.

A school can nominate a maximum of eight students – four students in the Junior section and four students in the Senior section. If a school has more than four students who wish to register in a section, there will need to be a school-run final.     

Students must be over 11 years of age as at 1 January 2027 and in years 7, 8 or 9 to be eligible for Junior section and under 18 years of age as at 1 January 2027 and in years 10, 11 or 12 for the Senior section. 

Registration

Entries must be made ONLINE by a responsible person from the school. Students who wish to take part please ask your teacher to register you.

Additional Information

Competitors must use their own original content. Reference to other texts, AI or direct quotation is allowed, but any speech must be substantially the work of the speaker. How that information is used and the original and creative approach to the topic is allowed, but any speech must be substantially the work of the speaker.  If plagiarism is suspected, a competitor may be automatically disqualified from the competition.

An entry fee of $25 per student is payable via direct debit (preferable). Invoices will be issued to schools

There is a $25 entry fee. Invoices will be issued to schools after entries close. Students will not be allowed to participate if the entry fee is not paid.

1st prize - $200, 2nd prize - $100

State winners also get a free trip to participate in the National Final
