SA/NT Rostrum Voice of Youth 2026

At every stage of the competition contestants are required to present a

Prepared speech	6 minutes	JUNIORS (aged 11 years or over as at 1/1/26 and in years 7, 8 or 9)
	8 minutes	SENIORS (under 18 years of age as at 1/1/26 and in years 10, 11 or 12)
Short notice speech	3 minutes	Juniors & Seniors, preparation time of 15 minutes

Competitors must use their own original content. Reference to other texts, AI or direct quotation is allowed, but any speech must be substantially the work of the speaker. An entry fee of $25 per student is payable via direct debit (preferable). Invoices will be issued to schools after entries close. Monetary prizes are awarded to Heat, Semi-Final, SA/NT Zone Final and National Final winners.

Some travel costs to Adelaide for NT and country entrants to compete in the heats, semi-finals & SA/NT Zone Final will be subsidised.
